More About Dan Farnum

Dan offers photographic and artistic skills for your personal needs in Tulsa and the region. This includes professional and museum quality services for clients at all levels of experience. Dan will work with individuals, orgs, and venues. These services include artwork and gallery documentation, Photoshop and Lightroom editing, high-resolution scanning, and various shooting options such as architectural photography, portraiture, and editorial work. He is also available for consultations regarding professional development in the Fine Arts.

Dan’s gallery documentation for artists and organizations has been featured on platforms like Hyperallergic and by the Tulsa Artist Fellowship. Clients also included the Tuscan Museum of Art as well as art venues at community spaces, such as the Gathering Place, which was voted the best park in the country.

Dan has worked as a photography professor for over fifteen years. He earned degrees in photography from the University of Michigan (BFA) and from the San Francisco Art Institute (MFA). He was a participant in the Tulsa Artist Fellowship. His personal artwork has been exhibited at the Aperture Foundation in NYC, Royal Albert Hall in London, Bergamont Station in Santa Monica, and at Alibi Fine Art in Chicago, among several other places. His work has also been published in TIME, Beijing based magazine called Vision, and recently in a monograph called Young Blood. Dan is currently a tenured professor at The University of Tulsa, teaching all levels of photography.
